The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 50% of the medications sold online are fake. To combat drug falsification, the Sanofi group established a distinctive laboratory in 2008, employing various analytical techniques such as HPTLC.
In CAMAG's CBS the article "HPTLC detection of falsification in drugs" was published, the article showcased rapid parallel screening of many samples. Which included up to 10 samples analysed in less than one hour. The developed method is simple and can be performed with little consumption of solvents and reagents.
