The PT-LT100 leak tester is employed to assess the integrity of packed strips, blisters, and small sachets containing tablets, granules, liquids, and more. This device evaluates the quality of the packaging process and verifies that the seals around the product are completely intact. The PT-LT100 is crafted to detect the tiniest holes and flaws in blister packs and other semi-rigid product packaging. It fully adheres to the current USP <1146> monograph.

Leak testing is extensively used in the pharmaceutical industry to inspect strips, blisters, and bottles containing tablets, capsules, syrups, and similar products. It is also utilized in the food industry to effectively verify the airtightness of sweet packets, ready-to-eat pre-packaged foods, confectionery packaging, and packs of noodles or sauces. Samples are placed into the desiccator’s chamber, and the lid is secured. The pump then creates a vacuum inside the desiccator, which is maintained for a predetermined duration.
